SODIMM on desktop

Currently, I have a 2GB ddr3 SODIMM stick installed on my Intel DH61WW . (First time build)

I'm planning to upgrade my mobo to an Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 .

I'm also planning to get 2 x 4GB ddr3 sticks. Should I stick to SODIMM or should I swap to the regular DIMM sticks?
I live in the Philippines so no newegg and the the SODIMMs are half the price. The decision could save me a bit of money. (kinda tight budget)
