just bought new 480 was playing for a few hrs no problems, then i decided to see what presicion was about so i installed it but didnt mess with any oc'n just was seeing what is was about then went back to playing a game but now i have lines like flickering on my monitor i have no clue whats going on i reinstalled the drivers deleted that prescion thing still nothing pls help. 750watt antec 80 plus btw thank you

yes i am 100% sure i just installed it from the disk looked at it new nothing about it and closed then ran into issues... i do remeber seeing the core clock thing at 1400 though

then lines only appear when i play a game temps are fine its just i get the flickering horizontal lines and things like the lights in the game no longer have the glow around them just plain basically

i looked at the precision app but the core cloack thing wont go down to 700 just 1100, i just dont know how installing that app is causing problems and i didnt even touch anything in it.. maybe its a power issue idk im confussed lol

Sounds like you need to enable V-Sync.

Enable V-Sync in a game that you know has this problem, see if it goes away.

yes i do now know what tearing looks like by disabling vsync thats exactly what is was looking like but when it is enabled its not near as bad, seems to have helped with downloading the newer drivers but i now have a few lines across the screen that i see from certain angles or shades in the game these lines no longer flicker like tearing but they are there. any advice ty

Are you sure that CORE clock is locked at 1100 MHz?
