My system is as follow:

Asus P5QL-E
Intel C2D e7300
Asus 8400GS
2GB DDR2 800
Corsair VX550

I am planning to upgrade my GPU at the end of the year to a 5770. I'm a moderate gamer. But I though it would be more worth it if were to wait until next year when I finally get to work and make the $400 necessary to buy a P55 mobo, an I5 750 and 4GB of DDR3 Ram. ALso if i were to wait, i could then also buy the HD 6870! What do you guys think?

Errr. if u want to buy a mobo and processor next year, the Sandy Beach is coming out.
~The i5 2400 is expected to be same price as current i5's +-$20-30, but the performance they crank out is almost the i7 980X level.

Wow I can find i5 760 for $216 AUD right now, I hope the 2400 or 2500 will be around the same price, according to sources

Your system right now isn't bad for a gaming rig, but your GPU is much to weak. OC that CPU, and get the best GPU you can. Sure it will bottleneck a bit with your dual core, but when you get that I5 or SB it will perform as it should. This is assuming you are upgrading when they come out.

Agree with 4745454b. Your GPU is your biggest limitation at the moment. A new 6850 or 6870 would probably be a better idea than your plan to get a 5770, though.

Yeah, if you are going to upgrade the GPU and want to stay with AMD (ATI) - get one of the new 68xx one's.
