System is not starting when i installed my graphics card

i am aravind
i bought a msi 512mb vga card and i installed it,
but my system is not starting and when i removed the vga card its starting so help me up dude

Does your video card turn on when you press the power button. If not, does it require a 6-pin connector? Specs and models would help.
