Good Day All,

I am new to the site and am very anxious to get my new build started! My computer knowledge is very limited but i would like to build myself a new pc, which i have never done before. I have been doing a lot of research over the past few weeks, and am now ready to buy the guts of my computer.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within the next few days

Budget Range: DoNt really have one, would like to keep it low though

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, web surfing

Parts Not Required: (keyboard, mouse, monitor, case, HDD, Optical Drive, PSU)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: No Preference - what components will give me best results

Overclocking: Not right now, maybe n the future

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, in the future

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080p

I ordered a few parts last week as i was getting some really good deals!

Ok as i said before i already have these parts, so i am pretty set on these parts LOL: So now i need a CPU, Mobo, RAM and GPU?

Should i going with:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

MSI 890GXM-G65 AM3
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

G.SKILL ECO Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...

or

Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz

ASRock P55 EXTREME4 LGA 1156 Intel P55

G.SKILL ECO Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)

This price difference is that that much of a big deal to me. Anyone recommend which route to take, or any suggestions. After this is sorted out i will need a good gpu and of course Win 7 64 Bit.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated !

If those are you choices, go for the 6870. If you can, get the 6850 and OC it a bit, it will do you great.

The 460 will also be a bit higher temp wise than either of the 68xx cards.

if your budge permits the the i5 build is better

as for a GPU get a 6850 and overclock it as they rock a 460 and a 6870 when overclocked and are really easy to overclock and their Crossfire scaling is amazing
