"Missing NTLDR"

Not sure where this would go but I think it might be a problem with my storage. I downloaded windows 7 onto my computer, made the iso file, extracted it onto my external hard drive but when I try to run it off my other computer, it says "missing NTLDR, press ctrl+alt+delete to restart". I've read up a lot and couldn't find anything. Can anyone help me? No idea what this means, and it's worked before

  1. "....I downloaded windows 7 onto my computer, made the iso file..."

OS is tied with the hardware especially mobo.. is the other comp had the same hardware spec (mobo) with yours ?

Sorry, should have made it more clear. I downloaded the ISO of windows 7 and no, it doesn't have the same computer parts or motherboard. However, it's a completely different windows 7 download, not the one that I have installed on my computer so I don't see this being an issue
  3. So can anyone help?
  4. I have same case with dual boot Ubuntu & Win7 and solved with Boot Repair Disk. You can download it from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/boot-repair-cd/
