Seagate hard drive troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a Segate 500gb expansion portable drive
The geen power light is on but the device will not show up on My Computer
It does show up on device manager as working correctly
Have changed cables, ports and reinstalled driver software

Windows may have failed to give it a drive letter, and if it has you can do it manually:

Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

In the bottom-right panel, find the ribbon which represents your Seagate Expansion.
Right-click that ribbon and choose "Change Drive Letter & Paths".
Click "Add".
Choose a letter.
Click 'OK'.
