this is the build I'm going for..is it any good? will all the hardware cooperate with one another? should I change some things? yes this is my first time trying to build a computer, any advice would be appreciated :)

motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO

graphic card: gtx 460

the reason I'm going for the gtx 460 instead of Ati newer 6000 series models because of the software I'm using sometimes got problems running on an ati card..I don't know why though.. and yes I decided to not sli it simply because the motherboard only supports cross fire.

I assume you have HDDs and/or SSDs and optical drives already, as well as a monitor. If so, your selected components should do just fine. BTW, what software are you trying to use that ATI/AMD GPUs have trouble with? Just curious.

High settings shouldn't be an issue with what you selected, either.

Last, you are likely to get all sorts of recommended changes. Know what you want and how much you want to spend and get the components of your choice. You can play the "better deal" game into complete indecision, if not careful.

HOOAH!!!

yes, lol..I'm not too worried about picking those out :p

as for the software.. it's a 3d animating software, newer ati cards does not seem to have any problem but I just don't want to take any chances..

oh yeah.. I forgot to mention my budget..I've got 1200 dollars left to spend on this build after I bought a monitor, OS, Speakers, Keyboard, and a mouse :) these items are not a part of my 1200 dollar budget so I've still got 1200 dollars left to purchase the other needed things.

if anyone could reccomend me to change certain items within my 1200 budget I would happily hear it :D or in this case..read it :D
