Is it possible to have two PSU's?

Soo my system currently uses a 250W PSU(yea it's ***, ik.. that's what I when I buy things from best buy).. But my friend has a 300W~ PSU that he can lend me. So I was wondering, can I buy a 5770 and plug it in my PCI X16, feeding it power from ANOTHER PSU (the 300W~) connected outside of the tower..

Holy ***.. what? I can't just plug the second PSU into the wall outlet and plug the 4pin in? o_______________o.
