460 GTX or HD5770

Purchase within the week for new card max budget $260.00. Rebates I don't count on them.

Usage: I am not a hardcore gammer, the most strain I put on my system is video and picture editing, and I fly X-plane a simulator (mostly CPU dependant). I would not put playing Hawx or call of duty out of the question but it is not my main concern, but I am looking to push my desktop to my 60" 1080P tv for movies, kids software programs, etc. I need a card that can handle pushing to the TV.


Concerns I have are heat, the case I have is super quite, but the air flow is just ok. One of the other reasons for upgrading is that audio is supported over the HDMI connection, that would be a big plus if it works well especially for movies and multimedia learning for my kids (Rosetta Stone for example). I know whichever way I go I will be happy, but I am leaning towards the 460 1GB version to be able to run anything I might throw at it in the future, but the 5770 is such an appealing price point I am torn. Or do I just wait to see the 6000 series?
