I have my 55" Toshiba LCD TV hooked up to my Radeon HD5770 via HDMI. The resolution is set to 1920x1080 but there is about a half inch black box around my screen the screen doesn't fill. The TV isn't cutting off that part, it just isn't using it.

When I adjust the picture size through my TV's OSD I can change it to 4x3, a few theater settings, natural and native. Natural gives this result, and native is several inches smaller. A "Full" option is grayed out.

I couldn't find anything in Catalyst Control Center to make any adjustments. Does anyone know a solution or a reason for this?

Solution
CCC-> Dekstio & Display Properties->Right click the Display Icon on the left lower corner-> Select Scaling Options on one of the tab

That will enable you to rescale the display

What is the model of your Tsohiba TV?
