What cpu can i fit into my acer aspire t180

Hi there!

I would like to upgrade my Acer Aspire T180 by changing its processor.
However, I do not konw what processor to use. I guess it depends on what the motherboard would support.

How about Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 631 supporting HT Technology (2M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB). Model SL94Y ?
or
Intel Celeron D 346 - SL8HD 3.06 GHz - Socket 775 ?

This would be your system.
It's an AMD Motherboard, meaning intel is a no no.

Post your budget, country and what you would like your pc to do, because the pc you have right now is really outdated and though there are probably upgrade possibilities it might not be cost effective.

It's going to be hard to upgrade an AMD system to an Intel processor without changing the motherboard.

But from what I can tell, an Athlon 64 x2 5600+ AM2 is the fastest CPU your system will support. Just be sure to flash to the latest BIOS before upgrading the processor.
