AMD Athlon II X3 445 motherboard compatibility

hello,

im looking for an atx motherboard that is compatible with this cpu for Between $50-$100. would like either a gigabyte,msi,asus or another popular brand.


cpu: AMD Athlon II X3 445


it also needs to be able to have 8gb ram and at least 4 sata ports and able to do sli/crossfire (sli/crossfire not a big deal if the mobo cant do it)

thanks looks good overall. only problem is the cpu is athlon and this supports phenom.

Athlon II and Phenom II are both socket AM3 CPU's and are supported by the same motherboards!

sorry im pretty new to pc building. only have built 1 so far. so what your saying is any motherboard with an am3 socket will work?

It depends on what you want, for $100 the board I linked to is very good and has CF support but no USB3 or SATA6GB. There are cheaper options that support those functions if you want those but not necessarily from the manufacturers you specified. That's the AM3 board I'd probably choose. I've had nothing but excellent results with ASRock.
