There are many brands out there like ASUS, MSI etc im looking for durability that is all. I heard the MSI cyclone 768mb model received very good reviews but im worried about the heatsink. Since there is no cover for the entire PCB hot air wont be directed through the back of the case but dissipated inside the case. Furthermore, the heatsink doesnt cover the memory andother components, Im afraid itll overheat.

More about : brand gtx 460 buy

The GTX 460s with the best cooling are the MSI Hawk, the Cyclone which you mentioned and the ASUS DirectCU.

That's what we are talking about. The Cyclone is one of the best you can buy.

Primarily EVGA
Secondarily ZOTAC

If that was important enough for you to worry about then it wouldn't have gotten gotten uniformly glowing reviews from every site.

Gigabyte that is what I bought for $225 with free ship from amazon along with my books for college. The cooler like the hawk has dual fans and the are both very very silent. Both like all of the rest don't have vram cooling but a few including gigabyte have vrm cooling. the Cyclone has a decent cooler but no vrm cooling and it does get very hot back there under load.

The MSI Hawk with the Twin Frozr II fan/heatsink is the best cooling option. I read a review of the Twin Frozr II installed on a GTX470 that maintained the same 40% fan speed at both idle and load.

I'm looking for the 768mb model only. Which brand other than gigabyte has vram cooling?

Before that... any reason why you want to stick to the 768MB instead of the 1GB version? Please do let us know.

Cyclone/Frozr/DirectCU

The ASUS DirectCU is very good, but it is also thicker and longer.

Don't worry about the VRM's, the card"overall" stays nice n cool unless you have scorching room temps and very bad airflow. The only 460 that ever had any VRM issues was the Palit model (not sure if this has been addressed already), the VRM's should be the least of your worries.

Go with the MSI Cyclone 1Gb. 205 w/ free shipping after rebates on the Egg, and you can get a free just cause 2 combo. Don't go 768, not matter how bad you want it. 1Gb will give you rooms for AA, and you will need it at that res. MSI cyclone 1gb FTW

all right ill go for either the cyclone or the asus directcu

Edit: Does newegg deliver products outside the US?
