Hi,
I have a vigor 2820 connected via WAN1 to the internet and LAN connected to 192.168.20.x. on this subnet there is a router with IP 192.168.20.10 which has a subnet 192.168.2.x with a number of servers on it. I configured a static route to this IP adress. the outcome of the static route table is as follows:

Key: C - connected, S - static, R - RIP, * - default, ~ - private
C xxx.xxx.xxx.0/ 255.255.240.0 is directly connected, WAN1
* 0.0.0.0/ 0.0.0.0 via xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, WAN1
S~ 192.168.2.0/ 255.255.255.0 via 192.168.20.10, LAN
C~ 192.168.20.0/ 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, LAN

when i do a traceroute however the result shows that it takes the WAN connection?

traceroute to 192.168.2.50, 30 hops max through WAN1 protocol ICMP
1 xxx.xxx.xx.xxx 600 ms
2 Request timed out. *
3 Request timed out. *
Trace complete.

a ping give host not found...

anyone has suggestions how to resolve this?

Bo.
