CORE i5 760 VS CORE i5 2500

Hi Guys

I have a query here and thus is the following the following 2 processors CORE i5 760 VS CORE i5 2500, which is better? I do know the 2500 is the newer architectured chip with the new socket 1155. I would just like to know performance orientation wise which would be the better spec for singular applications such as gaming.
