Computer I just built for work has been working alright until today.
I had a strange issue occur this morning.
Got into work this morning, and my desktop computer was hibernating. When trying to bring it back, I got a blue screen. When I booted back up, my motherboard wouldn't detect either of my hard drives. Here is a list of what I have in my computer:
Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive\
(This is what I have Windows on)
Seagate Barracuda ST320DM000 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
(This is my 2nd drive, it was formatted in Windows last week)
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
After stumbling around through the UEFI BIOS, I managed to force it to boot off of my SSD. I got some messages about the SSD not coming out of hibernation properly. Updated the Firmware on the SSD.
Now when it boots, at first the motherboard detects the Seagate drive but that's it, then it boots from the SSD somehow. When Windows loads, I can't see the Seagate drive, even when I go to Disk Management.
Are my SATA plugs bad? How do I get Windows to "see" the Seagate drive? What's going on?
