Im getting unknown device on my usb ports

Hello,
im having trounble with my printer, it comes up unknown device, usb malfunction, but if i take my wireless adaptor out at the front it works, what can i do??

Hello and welcome to THG.

If your Printer came with an installation CD, try to install the disk first. if not, try a different port. If both fail, then you may have a bad USB plug.
