I have a E-Machines model T5224 CPU and need help on should I upgrade the the motherboard to speed it up? I ran the computer performance test and this is the following scores, Processor 4.5, Ram 4.9, Graphics 2.9, Gaming Graphics 3.2 and Hard Disk 5.9. I am using Windows 7 and use it for internet and office and I am trying to find an economical way to speed it up. I am a novice but the chipset seems to be the weak link, can anyone help.

Upgrading the motherboard won't give you any speed bonus.

You could upgrade your RAM from 1GB to 2GB which should give you a nice little bump with any of these kits

The only thing apart from that is pretty much getting a new computer as all of the hardware in there is so old...
