Windows 7 won't detect my Solid State Drive

Windows just performed an update and immediately when trying to boot back up, I noticed problems with the mouse hanging on everything I tried to open. So I rebooted, and now I cannot even get into Windows 7, and I am asked to insert a boot disk. When I insert the Windows 7 installation disk, I selected do a clean install, but my Solid State Drive is not recognized. I even tried to install on the main Hard Drive and it would not install. So what do I do?
