Hi, I am new to Tomshardware and I'm building my first custom PC.

Firstly, this a great site full of quality reviews and articles, thanks Tomshardware.

My first question for the forums was: Will my heatsink fit in my case?

I'm planning to use a Lian Li PC-7FNWX

With a ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard

Using a Prolimatech Mega Shadow Deluxe CPU Cooler

Also if you have any comments on using the Prolimatech Mega Shadow Vs the Megahalems or even the Super Mega, please feel free.

Many thanks,

Rohan

Yes it will fit the only thing you will have to watch out for is the height of the heatspreaders on the memory. I have the Megahalems and gskill ripjaws and it fits great with both fans installed.
From what I have read they all perform the same.

Thanks for the reply D1RTYJU1C3. I was planning to use the Kingston T1 Series (KHX2133C9AD3T1FK4/8GX)

They do look a bit high, but they don't seem to have the specs anywhere.. does anyone know if these will slot in with the Megashadow?

Many thanks,

Rohan

They look a little tall to me. I had Corsair Dominator and they were to tall.
You might be able to get away with them in the 2nd and 4th slot or you could just use one fan.

This is the problem you are going to run into with almost any good CPU cooler.

Yep that ram kit looks to be over 41mm tall.
As already pointed out GSkills Ripjaws and also Mushkin Black/Red line are 41mm and 40mm respectively.

So 41mm is the max height for RAM when using a megahalems/megashadow?

Not necessarily but here's a guide with some useful info regarding ram height pertaining to a similiar product.
