Gigabyte motherboard ga-81pe1000-g bios reset

Having changed the RAM from 500MB to 2GB and installed a PCI fire wire card connection the BIOS has gone into recovery mode from the hard drive but does not appear to be doing anything; is there a reset switch for the BIOS?

Sadly, I think this board is dead in the water, says it can't find BIOS image on hard drive, won't power up in safe mode and resetting CMSO hasn't been effective.
Thanks for helping, don't think there is anything else I can do.

As the computer won't boot, not sure how I can do that.

Have downloaded BIOS from this address but unable to transfer it to the motherboard, startup screen simply has BIOS version followed by message stating: scanning hardrive for BIOS image; BIOS auto recovering, it does appear to be scanning the hardrive as the busy light illuminates for a short time.
So not sure whether it is possible rectify this problem!
