Am2+/am3 problem Tags: Motherboards CPUs Product Last response: September 30, 2011 7:01 PM in Motherboards Share ifoundgoldbug September 30, 2011 5:35:54 PM I bought this motherboard a while back http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... it is am2+/am3 and i am trying to put in this http://www.jr.com/amd/pe/AMD_HDX840WFGMB/ CPU and it simply will not fire up. the proc is am3 so it SHOULD work and it is a 95W so why is it not working. in addition trying to put back in the OLD proc doesn't work either.
