I´m going to buy a new pc, since my old XP 5200, it´s having lot´s of problems...
The CPU is a PENTIUM E5700, I know it´s not very powerful but it´s cheap, will it be better than my Xp X2 5200 +?
If it's a pre-made system, it's okay. If you want to play the latest games, it should be okay. An AMD system with a quad-core or triple core are probably a better option if you are looking for something cheap. You are going to want spend some money on a graphics card. Read the Tom's "Best CPU/GPU for your money" articles.
YEs It´s a pre-made system, I´ve just bought it¡
I´ve changed the psu (using my old 550 w generic).
I bought a week ago an used ati 4770 for 85 $, I expect to receive it this week.
I have a E5400 2.7Ghz oc'd to 3.4 with no voltage increase by just raising the FSB and plays games very well, so a E5700 oc'd should be a nice little processor.
Keep in mind you'll still need a video card for gaming. Its a capable CPU, but the GPU will determine how good your gaming experience will be.
Yes Currently I´m using an ATI 4650 512mb gddr2, but I bought an used 4770 (I think that I´ll receive it this week), I think that this gpu should be enough.
