Hi,
I'm in the process of building a new computer, and would like to gather a bit of worldly knowledge from the TH community:
I'm using the Antec 902 case; I never used the old 900, and from what I've seen/read you don't have much headroom for the CPU, and thus your heatsink. I was wondering if anyone knew the maximum dimensions for a heatsink that would fit into the case? I am currently intending to cool an i7-2600k with a Corsair A50, but being 15.5cm in height, I'm concerned that it wont fit (in which case I'll probably downgrade to a Zalman 9500). If you use the case, I'd equally appreciate knowing which heatsink you have fitted into your case.
Also: I'm going to fit a GTX580 into there, being a 10.5" card, from what I've seen it will just fit. Once again, I'd love for someone to confirm that (nothing worse than getting a case then having to send it back). I expect the optional fan bracket will have to go, and the HDDs will need to be positioned in the lower brackets, but it should just squeeze in.
Thanks in Advance,
Wampbit
