Here is what i have in mind right now : (Price in singapore dollars)

ASUS M4A77TD PRO phenom ll x4 925 -$328
Samsung hard drive 500gb - $53
RC Hynix DDR3 2gb single stick (will get another one some time after i got the rig) -$45
Sapphire hd 6850 (dang it doesnt come with dirt 2) -$285
Seasonic M12ii 520w -$115
Cooler Master Elite 310 case -$62
Samsung 20" monitor -$198

Total ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ $1086

Assembly will be done by experienced tech.
The windows is supposedly provided, if not, i will still be sticking to windows xp until i have saved enough for windows 7. This rig would be used for casual-heavy gaming, but not necessary the latest games on the market. Also, this pc will have to last for 6 years or so, will upgrade if needed. Eye-candy is not quite as important for me, playable and decent fps is suffice for me.

So, is there any better cpu out there and cheaper?
Anyway, the monitor i will be getting is available in lcd and led, where led cost 20$ more than lcd, which is recommended?

Get the Kingston RAM. Can you get a full HD monitor? There's a 23" Acer at 235. You can drop the CPU to Athlon II X4 640.
