My logitech earphones are not working

Hello,
I have Skype on my desktop. Today I was not able to hear through my Logitech headphones. I unplugged the USB cord from the back of my computer and plugged it back in and there was a message box that appeared on my P/C screen that read the USB is not recognized. I never had this problem before.
What is going on?

Try to restart your computer. If the message reappears again, go into Device Manager and see if any or all of your ports are functioning.
