You don't install an OS on a CPU. It installs to the HHD and yes you can install Win7 to your computer. Just like to point out that you can practically install any OS on to practically any computer made in the last 5 years or so.

1GB and 160GB HDD, are you trying to replace/dual boot window 7 on a netbook/ultraportable with a linux OS already in it? If that is the case, check if the manufacturer has the driver for your device for window 7.

approximately 4gb ram is enough otherwise you can install any version of win7 but with 1gb of ram is weak cause win7 share your ram upto 480mb or more so your memory is dip down to 600mb or lower.

And windows can't install in cpu it is install in hdd cpu is just for processing only.
