Hey guys,

I found a nice deal on this motherboard and just want to make sure it's at least OK for what I'll be using it for.

GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

I plan to do some moderate overclocking (i5-2500k) and possibly adding a 2nd GPU in SLI/X-fire at some point. I will be using the PC for mostly gaming and surfing the web for now.

Is there anything really bad wrong with this mobo for these purposes? I know it's not top of the line with 12-20 voltage regulators, but honestly...I think I'd be a little scared to OC to 4.8+ 24/7 anyway. I would like a stable 4-4.2ish though.

Thanks,
-TG

That is a nice board and as you see in your link it comes recommended from respectable hardware sites. Nothing wrong with it and should overclock well.

Cool, thanks for the input. :)

I'm getting that board + an i52500k for $276.18 after MIR and after tax from Micro Center for anyone who cares, but today is the last day for the $10 rebate.
