need help with wireing a hp pavillion electrics (hdd, reset, pwr etc switches which are in a luster to a gigabyte h55m-ud2h motherboard

Are the cable ends labeled? You know - hdd led, pw, reset,? If so the motherboard will also be labeled on the board itself right there surrounding the header panel. If the wire connectors are not labeled then maybe you can look at the old motherboard and check them before you pull them off and see what the current old board panel header says and mark them yourself and then change them over.
