What can i do if my ps3 is not found the correct hard disk

Assuming you are talking about external disks, it needs to be formatted as FAT32 in order to be recognized by the PS3.

yes, but is not working. its the same say.. the correct hard disk was not found. what can i do? any idea?

The hard drive is probably toast, and with that, all your saved game data. You can try removing the panel and taking the screw out and pull the hard drive out and then push it back in, maybe it came out.

But that generally means the PS3 can't find a Hard drive, meaning yours isn't reading.

If that's the message you are getting when turning your ps3 on, then your internal hard drive is most likely dead. There are tons of videos on youtube that show you how to replace the internal hard drive and how to get it back up and running.

Yup, an 2.5" SATA hard drive will work and it's easy to replace them, but as said, all your data will be gone. Try removing it and putting it back in first.

The PS3 is picky in the fact that if you remove your HD, put in a different one, then put your original back in, the original needs to be formatted and you loose your data anyways. As soon as a HD is in, that gets registered as the current HD.

You can download the newest firmware from the playstation web site. Follow the instructions to put it on a USB flash drive. The ps3 can use it to get the new hard drive up and running.
