Deciding on a Graphics card

Hi, recently i had to send my HD 4870 512mb back because of a Vram fault and i got a full refund and i now have £130. I was wondering what would be the best choice of graphics card for this price?
I will be running on a 1240X1024 res monitor.

Many thanks in advance

More about deciding graphics card
  1. The game i will be playing the most is Arma 2: OA.

    My Current system is
    AMD Phenom 9550 (2.2GHz, socket AM2+)
    Foxconn A7VMX
    4GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz
    800 watt PSU with 2 6pin connectors.
  2. For your resolution then HD5670 is enough.
Also, OC your CPU a little bit (3.0GHz are great), that's should help a lot. :)

2.2 to 3.0 seems a bit hazardous, he could easily go 2.6GHz with no issues.
All of the money, you can go for a 5770.
Something that'll work great at that resolution : a 4850.
Cheaper and less performance then your previous card, but it'll run fine and let you save up for a larger monitor if you wanted.
  4. Alright cheers guys, i was looking in the HD 48XX-57xx region. Just wanted a second opinion before i went and spent my money.
  5. Yes, with stock cooler i think his CPU can go up to 2.6GHz without raising the VCore...
  6. oh, now thats intresting, ive always wanted to overclock this CPU
  7. Just do it slowly and always check the temps...
You can read how to OC in OverClocking section in this forums...
  8. Yea, and 2.6 should allow you to have decent temps without needing a new cooler.
  9. Alright thanks for the help again guys.
First time on this website and think im going to stay : D
