Asus sabertooth p67 mb temp -61 c?

new computer, at start up mb read nothing, then -61/-77c. cpu read 40/111 f. i do have a small fan attached to the mother board but not plugged into the board itself. connected to a cable to the power.
i searched and found nothing. anyone have any input.

Are you checking those temps in the BIOS ?
Because BIOS temp readings are sometimes wrong,so check your temps with software like CoreTemp/SpeedFan etc.

i did find something exactely like this from 2006, 08.

the fix was to ignore and dont worry about it. probably a faulty temp sensor.

i tried and called asus tech support. i gave up when i couldnt reach a real person.

i was looking under bios but in windows i get the error message.
