Min.24" Gamer monitor 1920x1200

Hi
I´ll like some advise regarding buying a new monítor for gaming. Minimum size must be 24" and resolution 1920x1200 since my computer is quite powerfull.
Some of my friends advise resolution 1980x1080 but why settle with that when I can run higher without problems.

Today I am running a Samsung Syncmaster 226BW, 22" 1650x1050 so I like to feel I get some more when upgrading to 24".

My budget is around 350-400£ but happy if less than that.

400 pounds? Holy crap man, look into a 32" LED TV instead...

Have had that thought but I am only sitting 1-1,2 meter from the monitor so I think 32" will be to much and sencondly If you need an 32" LED tv for gaming I dont thing I´ll get one for 400£.

Think it is better to go for an 24-25" gaming monitor, but surprice that no one comes up with some advise?? Maybe Im in a wrong forum!!

OK, conclusion is that producers of monitors must stop producing 24" monitors with the 1920x1200 resolution since no people use them. Dissapontet. Where can I then look for advise.
