Problems with first build

Just put everything together, the lights and fan came on, dvd drive opened, but it isn't connecting to my TV (I tried VGA and HDMI) anybody have any ideas?

Also there are some prongs at the end of my harddrive, and i'm not sure what they plug into.

Did you plug the 2 6 pin PCI-E power plugs into your video card? That's a common one... The prongs on your hard drive you don't need to worry about (as long as you don't mean the power and data cable plugs).
