Removing an on board GPU from a laptop

Can anyone explain to me how to do this, or a web site that does this sort of thing..

I want to remove my Nvidia GeForce Go 6100 and replace it with the Nvidia GeForce Go 6800 Ultra.

  1. Not possible the Go6100 is a chip on the motherboard but the GO 6800 Ultra is a mini expansion card.
  2. Yup, only select high-end laptops have upgradable GPUs.
  3. Then what happens when I send in my computer with a burned out GPU? and they send it back in full working condition.....
  4. OK...Makes sense..

    Thank you.
