Will this all work together?

I am trying to build a new PC for my dad and would like to know if this would all fit together. Computer: AMD Athlon II X4 645 Propus 3.1GHz 95W AM3, CORSAIR XMS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2000Mhz,
ASUS Radeon HD 4870 1GB CF, SILVERSTONE DA700 700W ATX, ASUS M4N75TD AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX,
2x TEAC 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM IDE DVD-ROM Drive Model DV516E/KIT/B, ENERMAX Staray ECA3171-BR-AP Black Steel ATX, and
HITACHI Deskstar H3IK10003272SP (0S02860) 1TB 7200rpm.

key questions: Will the motherboard fit? Will the power supply fit? Will the power supply supply enough power? Will the two disk drive fit? Will the hard drive fit? Will the two graphics cards work?

Would this machine be good for illustration and photographs, doing some gaming, plain surfing the web, and compiling code.

I'll try and offer a bit of input here.

First of all, yes everything will fit, and probably work, but I'd change a couple things...

1) Motherboard - you're using a nVidia SLI board, which is alright, but using the AMD chipset ones will work better for you (and be cheaper). Check these out:

2) DVD Drives - remember that those aren't burners, and also that they are the older IDE instead of the faster SATA style drives... but they will physically fit and work fine.

Other than that it looks pretty good.

The motherboard is and AMD mobo. What do you mean the drive is not very fast? Like the speed it opens at?

It's an AMD motherboard with an nVidia chipset. It's built specifically to run nVidia graphics cards in SLI, which is not normally possible on AMD boards.

Those drives are older, slower IDE drives, that will be slower at opening files, installing programs, and will not let you burn a CD or DVD.

So on the two SLI mobos I can not put the two radeon cards? Would these drives work and be good? new drive: TEAC 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM DVD-ROM Drive Model DV516EKITB

It'll probably work, so if you already have it don't worry - but you can get a cheaper nicer AMD board if you're buying new right now...

It'll work, but those other links I listed will give you better performance... That one you listed has 2 PCI-E x16 lanes, the top one will run at x16, but the bottom one will only run at x4 (less bandwidth). Doesn't affect performance a huge amount, maybe just a couple of percent with 4870s.
