Low bios battery warning but voltage is ok

Hello,
I have just converted an old PC into a NAS using FreeNAS, it works fine but every time it boots it reports cmos battery low. Obviously I have replaced the battery (several times). The bios hardware diagnostics show the battery voltage at about 3.6 volts which is correct. Any suggestions?
