Can someone tell me ASAP if they are compatible or not BECAUSE I already ordered them from newegg and I have till a few hours to cancel them before they are shipped! So I will be grateful if someone can help me out right away:

Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 ATX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271

PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910W High Performance 80PLUS Silver SLI CrossFire ready Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703022

RAM G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231295

Note: The reason I don't think they are compatible is because Asrock manufacture site DOES NOT LIST the RAM above on their "Memory supported list" however it does specify what RAM it supports here:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=Z68%20Extreme3%20Gen3&cat=Specifications

Also, I think I ordered the wrong RAM because it says its a "laptop memory" when I am building a new desktop. However, can you still get it to work with the mobo above right?

Please help me out ASAP!

Solution

Yes you've erred by ordering laptop memory for a desktop motherboard.

No you'll never get the laptop memory to work on a desktop motherboard because the memory slots are completely different.

You'll have to change your order before it is filled and shipped.

Select from the following:

DDR3-1333 (PC3 10666)

or

DDR3-1600 (PC3 12800)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611+50008476+600006050+600052012+600000261+600006069+600006127&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&IsNodeId=1&Subcategory=147&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&AdvancedSearch=1&srchInDesc=

I am going to get SLI GTX 570 [both OC] or just by gtx 580 overclocked [but might SLI later on IF ONLY it won't play the latest 3d gaming on a 100' projector].

But the above mobo and psu are compatible with each other right?

None yet but going to get gtx 570 OC or gtx 580 then sli both later on. But the mobo and psu are compatible with each other right

Yes that PSU is capable of powering a system using that motherboard and two GTX 570 or GTX 580 in 2-way SLI mode.

It is an HD projector right? The 570 should be more than adequate for 1080p. but I'm not 100% sure due to the 3D. If it's anything less than 1080p you should get a far cheaper (sub-$150) GPU.

did not buy an HD projector yet but will soon.

You should also add that a memory operating voltage of 1.50 Volts or lower is recommended to those memory requirements as specified by Intel to prevent damage to the memory controller that resides on the Sandy Bridge CPU.

The RAM does not have to appear on ASRock's memory QVL (a.k.a. Qualified Vendor List / Memory Support List) for it to work.
