Noob needs some cooling help

hello community

need a bit of advice on cooler.

just built my first system with 955 be, antec 902 case, 6870x2 and asrock 870 extreme3 board. :D

my stock cooler is just too loud.

i need advice on a new cooler with these being the most important criteria -

1. easy to install
2. quiet
3. price $40 or under preferably

i am leaving everthing running at stock speeds for the first couple months. i will eventually overclock - mildly though.

also, what would be the best paste for me to get and what is the best (safest) way for me to remove the current paste.

thanks for help

Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is the cooler most recommended here on Tom's

Some pointers:
1|Its the best bang for your buck

2|Its potential is only limited by the fans used ( best performance is in push/pull config)

3|Price is well within your budget

4|Just go over at coolermasters site and make sure you don't have any clearance issues with your case

Here's an installation guide for the cooler though its for an amd bracket, intel just has a different orientation

Btw (out of curiousity), hows the performance of the 6870's in crossfire?
