Hi pals! I'm not an expert on this matter but I love to build a Computer by my own. Right now I'm building 775 platform, since It's less expensive than newer technologies. I already have CPU IntelQ9650 and I'm thinking in two choices, that's why I would like to ask your advice. Which one of these platforms would be better to perform games and graphics?
1-Intel MB DX48BT2 with XFX Radeon HD 5750 Video Card - 1GB GDDR5 or..
2- XFX MB NVIDIA NFORCE 790I ULTRA with EVGA GeForce GTS 450 FPB Video Card - 1GB GDDR5.
SLI or ATI CrossFire?????????
Thanks for your help.

Here's a good place to start actually:

I have an 790 Ultra SLi myself, so I'd advise that you get the X48 chipset in that intel motherboard. You're not limited to SLi or Crossfire, as you can have either. Don't get me wrong, personally I think if you're ABSOLUTELY set on Nvidia cards, the 790i is a better mobo, but if you're not sure, then get the x48.

Also, anyone here will tell you that SLi is more stable and scales better than crossfire.

After spent nights & nights reviewing forums, testers informations..etc....I realized that I posted the question that every beginer ask "What's better Nvidia SLI or ATI Crossfire" or Intel VS AMD.. Anyway I'm going to take your advice and go with DX48BT2-XFX Radeon HD 5750.. However I really like Nvidia 790i Ultra..Thanks for your help..
