Did my monitor just die?

I'm not sure this is the right thread... computer monitor problem...

I was doing some electrical work today, and turned off a breaker that turned the desktop computer off (which has a cheap surge protector.) Later when I went to turn my computer back on my Hanns-G HC17AA monitor wouldn't display anything. Won't even put up the monitor menu stuff (you know brightness, contrast etc.) Now when I turn it on the little LED power light comes on and blinks slowly when the light blinks off it makes a beep.

I've unplugged and replugged my pc video cord in and I hear the speakers making the silly windows xp 'doo demp' sound of unplugging or plugging in hardware.

I have unplugged and replugged my monitors power cord... no change.

I have also plugged my laptop to the monitor but no dice... it didn't change a thing.

Is this problem fixable? is it cheap? What is the problem...? Do you need more info to figure out what my problem is?

More about monitor
  1. Do you have another system you can try the monitor on or another monitor you can try on the system ? that way you could figure out whether it is the monitor or the system.
