Hi there guys, this is my first time building a computer myself, so I was really hoping for some help. Done heavy research this week and here's what Ive come to desire:
CPU-Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache

MoBo-MSI P55-GD80 LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard(16GB max memory)

RAM-CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3

HDD-Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache

Graphics-XFX GT240XZHFC GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

PSU-OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W ATX12V v2.2

DVD Burner-LITE-ON Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA

CPU cooler-Cooler Master Intel Core i5 compatible Hyper TX3 Socket 775/1156/AMD 130W 92mm

And finally, the case-HAF 922 RC-922M(comes with two 200mm fans and one one 120mm fan. lots of room for a midtower)

My question is: Will these all work? Like do I have everything I need, and will they be compatible with each other? If the information I gave wasn't specific enough, here are links to all the items respectively.

As for the PURPOSE of the computer, I'm just looking for a computer that isn't slow as hell and can get down to business when it comes to both gaming and schoolwork. The games I'll play the most are World of Warcraft, DIII(when it releases), and probably some other fun stuff I might throw in there like Oblivion and various CoD titles. Anyways, I'd appreciate all the help, and if there's maybe a better suggestion over a part, please let me know. Something you should understand though is that I am still a teenager and all of this is gonna be bought from my Christmas money lol. So yeh, I was aiming under $1,000 but let me know what you think.

If you're looking to keep the price down I would probably go with 4GB of ram and a different case. The HAF looks beast, but something like this could help you save a little more money. Only problem is your PSU and case wouldn't match colors which might be a problem.

Or if you were willing to go any cheaper this would still be ok.

These are just suggestions, but to be honest your build looks fine I'm just trying to help you keep a little cash. If you don't have a monitor check this out too.

thanks for your help, and I am definitely using the 4GB memory set! Saves me money. As for the Graphics card, I honestly think I can't fit that in my budget :( The cooler you suggested is much better tho

Thanks a bunch for suggesting that 1st PC case, I actually like it much better! Thanks for saving me money, and as for the monitor I'm definitely gonna make that one of my top choices
