Hello, I just got a new 775w Thermaltake PSU for my computer since I am upgrading to a 570 gtx video card also.

The 570 gtx http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130593
PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153127
Mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130228

After putting in the new PSU and vid card, I attempt to turn it on, but the PSU just does a slight electric jolt, fan moves slightly, and then nothing. Bad unit? Or did I miss something when picking the PSU out?

EDIT: Also have tried 3 different outlets in my house, to no effect.

Double check all connections make sure everything is connected right. To test the power supply by itself you can disconnect it totally and try to power it up by itself. To power up the unit without the motherboard you will need a paper clip and you will short out the green wire to any of the black wires this should power up the unit to see if it works.

If it powers up outside the box then the problem could be the motherboard or the GPU.

Just did a paperclip test, worked nicely. You think mobo or GPU could have somehow messed up? Was really careful when I put in the new GPU and plugged in the 24 pin to the mobo...
