CrystalDiskMark Stats, A Problem?

February 17, 2013 1:59:33 AM

Hi everyone!

I think there is a problem with my SSDs - But i would like some input before i use alot of time on it.

I have 4 different types of storage connected to my new computer, i have made a CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 x64 test with (5 trys, 1000MB) on all 4 types:
RAM Disk (1333Mhz):
(MB/s Read / MB/s Write)
6983 / 6515 - Sequential
6778 / 6116 - Random 512K
938,8 / 507,3 - Random 4K, QD 1
821,8 / 441,9 - Random 4K, QD 32

SSD (Samsung 840 Pro 256GB) Raid 1:
867,7 / 112,6
766,3 / 91,65
28,69 / 52,21
568,0 / 91,71

HDD 5400RPM:
138,6 / 134,5
34,87 / 78,82
0,402 / 1,306
1,188 / 1,286

Old USB 2.0 HDD:
48,14 / 47,97
27,83 / 35,72
0,528 / 1,218
0,591 / 1,218

What i think is off is the write on my SSDs in Raid 1 - on the specs from Samsung they have 520 Mb/s write.

Why is there this difference ? Anyone know is this a problem on my local computer or something more general?

Thanks in advance!
