No more 1155 socket motherboard?

The last time I checked Newegg was yesterday and I was still able to search for 1155 socket motherboards.. Just a few hours ago, I tried searching again but now it says "We apologize for the inconvenience, but the item you are looking for has been deactivated." This message shows if I try to look or select any motherboard 1155 socket motherboard. Does this mean that all P67 motherboards have been sold out, or is there any issue with P67 motherboards that I am unaware of?

Codename Cougar Point or P67 chipset . Search Codename Cougar. The defective is in the chipset not the sandy bridge cpu itself.

Jip, this will be due to the defective SATA port problem they just discovered. You may have to wait until late Feb before 1155 becomes readily available again.

This is so crazy. What's going to happen to all the people who bought these boards?

First the crazy snow storm, now this.

The problem only affects the 3Gbit/s ports, so the 6Gbit/s ports are still fine and can be used safely.

From what I've read, you should be able to return your board to the supplier and get a replacement at no cost.

Not to worry, systems based on 1156 (or AM3) should remain viable for years.

As of right now, I have no worries with my ASUS P8P67 Pro as i will just replace it with an updated one when the time comes... Question remains, since i ordered it from Newegg, will they be replacing it for me or will ASUS have to?
