I will be bumping the RAM up to 6gb with a single GEIL 2GB module.

I plan to be playing Crysis, WoW, Starcraft 2, among others. Will this machine run these games at close to or at max settings?

Also, can you recommend any cheap, quiet case fans? Because my room gets very hot, even when a/c is on. I have yet to figure this out. The computer might get a little toasty without cooling, so i'll need some aftermarket fans.

I wouldnt bump the ram up to 6GB, that will put you in single channel and actually hurt performance.

What resolution are you planning on playing at? The 5770 will handle those games on high at 1280x1024 but you wont be able to get crysis near max at 1920x1080.

i plan to play at 1920x1080. im buying an asus vh236h, so monitor is no issue. can the card handle WoW at max settings? and if i decided to upgrade to a new video card, what could get crysis at max for minimum price?

Nothing reasonable will max out crysis so dont even think about that, a 6850 would play it on high pretty well, but if you are going to swap out the video card in it once you get it then you are wasting money getting a prebuilt. Build it yourself and get the parts you want the first time around.

well, if i build it myself, i will be spending 200 dollars more than the prebuilt. But if you would like to see my list of parts for a custom, just tell me and ill give u the .txt file containing parts, links, and prices.

Not sure how you figure that, its not too hard to beat a prebuilt at about 800 actually, i just pieced together a build that has a 5850 instead of a 5770 and its only $838 before shipping and rebates

Here is what i would suggest rather than that ibuypower unit

Add in a $20 optical drive of your choice and it easily bests the ibuypower build for slightly more, before shipping and $35 in MIRs

I'm gonna go with the Storm Scout (i like the look and space). As for the CPU, is a CM Hyper 212 sufficient to cool it if its overclocked at 3.5ghz?
