Hello i am new to this.. i have a dell 720h2c and i want to upgrade my old gtx8800 to a new gtx 570 or 580 or 590
i know my mobo is not a pcie 2.0 but it does have a x16 slot.. i just wanted to know before spending the $500 or so to upgrade, if there is going to be any performance limitations since i have a older mobo, i basicaly just want the card to play
bf3, please help i need to make a desition fast since i live in Mexico and its hard to get people to bring the card down...
money isnt really a problem i dont want to spend the extra money for a 590 if my mobo cant take FULL advantage from it.. so some optinions would be great!! just want to make sure i wont bottleneck my system. here are my specs..

Cpu: intel core 2 extreme Qx6700 (quad) @ 2.66ghz (( i can OC but i dont but probably will for bf3))
1 kw power suply
MoBO: nForce 680i sli spp ( bios a06 04/01/2008 )
8 gb ddr2 ram ( i think its maxed at 800mhz)
2 nvidia 8800gtx ( one is not working..)
windows 7 64bit

Thanks

Yeah i can oc to 3.6 ghz it actually came like that.. but since i installed windows 7 i formated the system, and it whent down to 2.66 i have never oc i hear its really easy i just havent needed to do it.. the cpu haves a stock liquid cooler.. and its made to be over clocked.. im thinking about going with the 560i seems like my system is not worth upgrading might has well just keep it.. i only want the gpu to play bf3
