Black screen with a undercore

Hello,
my computer suddenly shut down when opening a movie on a USB stick, and trying to open an update to windows media player. Now it will only turn on, light up the on-button, load the Dell screen, but then it goes to a black screen with an undercore. What can I do?
I removed the USB stick, but nothing happens. The USB stick is usually used on a Mac.

Please help me!
