Will a DDR3 work as it should work on a DDR2 motherboard?

My motherboard manufacturer is HP PAVILION 06 and the model is Asterope. I want to know what other RAM will it support other than DDR2?

If your MB supports ddr2, then no other kind of memory is supported, you must use ddr2.

^ Yes. DDR3 RAM is not compatible with DDR2 slots.

The DIMM sockets are different. In addition to the electronic incompatibilties, DDR3 DIMM's will not physically fit in a DDR2 socket.
